It is an amazing feeling to help people feel better about themselves, develop more self confidence, fight chronic disease and conquer a goal they have been trying for so long to achieve. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to help hundreds of individuals lose and keep off unwanted weight and become more fit and healthy.

Quite possibly the greatest quality that contributes to my clients success - I get it! I've struggled my entire life with managing a healthy weight, a goal that comes naturally for some but is a daily battle for many of us. I understand the barriers, the emotions, the desire, the success and the struggles. Let's face it, losing weight isn't easy and many of us have tried many different approaches. 10lbs or 100lbs, that goal can seem difficult, if not impossible. That's where I come in! You will find me to be curious, asking many questions and doing a whole lot of listening. The more I can learn about you, the better I can prepare a program that includes what you need to be successful at achieving your goals. Each person is unique and has their own personal preferences and reasons for losing weight and becoming healthier. You may want to feel more comfortable playing on the floor with your kids. You may be seeking to avoid complications of chronic medical conditions such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Perhaps you have a specific motivator such as family planning, an upcoming wedding or reunion, or a closet of clothes that you would like to feel more comfortable in. No matter the reason, the goal is the same, and together we will work towards that goal.​​

Professionally, I am dual board certified as a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals to promote optimal health and wellness. In the earliest portion of those years I traveled with an international weight loss and fitness company, designing meal plans and fitness plans for clients. I worked hands on with my clients, monitoring weekly progress and coaching and motivating them to achieve their goals. That opportunity inspired me to pursue a career in the medical field so that I could make an even greater impact. Combining weight loss and fitness experience with medical training and certifications lends itself perfectly to supporting patients in a medically supervised weight management program.
